Tempt Your Tastebuds in the Festival Food Theatre
The Festival is delighted to once again have the support and sponsorship of The Cliftonville for this year's food theatre. Standing proud on the seafront just a stone's throw away from the festival site, their talented team of chefs will share with you all the tricks of the trade in preparing and cooking the finest seafood, cook up some delicious samples to try and hand out recipe cards so that you can try out your new found skills at home. If you really can't make it, don't worry as brand new for this year, the food theatre will be live-streamed, so that nobody has to miss out on the fun.

Kick off the 2025 Festival at the Pier Pavilion
We open the 2025 Festival in style with the brilliantly charming, uplifting and fun opening stage spectacular. An outrageously entertaining variety show for everyone to love, with laughs by the bucket load and iconic sounds of the sea. Host - Norfolk funny man and BGT finalist Ben Langley will guide you seamlessly through an evening of magic moments, with a bit of absolute mayhem thrown in. Ben is reunited on the stage with special guest, singing sensation Dale Bullimore. They performed together at the theatre last October in the Ben Langley Show, the pair's undeniable onstage chemistry was electric, so we can't wait to see what they have in store for us! Also featured are the ever-impressive Pot of Gold Shanty Crew and super artistic students from local dance school Live & Let's Dance. Booking at Cromer Pier or 01263 512495.
Pot of Gold Shanty Crew
Eleven musicians and friends now in their ninth year of sprinkling shanty magic over audiences from Lands End to the East Coast. Having performed at the iconic Minack Cliff Theatre, Norwich's Maddermarket Theatre, Ely's Maltings, churches and shanty festivals around the country they sing from a collection of one hundred songs ~ originals written and arranged by Crew members, or basically any lyric that mentions water, ships, sailors or mermaids. Expect a totally inclusive, entertaining session, full of great songs, fantastic harmonies, humour, brilliant musicianship and audience participation. Add to that the only British Sign Language signing shantyman and you'll have an unparalleled experience.

Events

Join us for the main festival weekend. Stalls, cookery demos sponsored by The Cliftonville and entertainments on Evington Lawns, fishing exhibitions at the town museum, cafes and coffee all over the town. See you there!
Perennial favourites Razz and Auntie Pearl will join us at the Festival, to have a walk around the Festival site and help with balloon modelling. Just watch out for his extra large feet as he takes a stroll!
The last Sunday in August, on the pier forecourt! Your chance to be the proud owner of a s treasure chest, small or large. It's a two-part auction, 1230pm noon and 2.30pm, with the Blakeney Old Wild Rovers singing between.
At 10am it's the World Pier Crabbing Championship - sign in from 9.30am. Plenty of fun for all!
This international event (that means people from Sheringham and further afield take part) is held on Cromer Pier. Register from 9.30am, crabbing 10am to 12 noon. Come and try your luck - the crabs are all returned to the sea, waiting for the next year!
